Meeting Our Patients’ Needs
Personal preferences As we get to know our patients, we try to learn and make note of personal preferences each may have that will help enhance his or her time with us. Some patients may like ambient music; others may enjoy the use of an iPod during treatment. Some individuals are apprehensive about dental care, and we have a variety of options they can choose from to ease their anxiety. Nitrous oxide is available and may be utilized with local anesthetic, and premedication with oral relaxants can be prescribed as needed. A blanket during treatment or a hot towel after a procedure provides comfort and warmth. Whatever it takes, we will do our best to make your time with us as comfortable as possible.
Safe dentistry Trust is the cornerstone of any doctor-patient relationship. Our highest priority is to maintain a safe environment. Some of the measures we take include:
- use of disinfectant hand soap
- disinfection of countertops and surfaces
- sterilization of instruments before every use (stored in sealed bags)
- use of disposable products, whenever appropriate
- proper use of gloves and masks, and plastic barriers on stationary equipment
- attention to individual medical history
- proper use of anesthetics and necessary drugs
